Early 2000. Our first official
offsite. Every single person in our 20-person-ish crew went to this place, which had no
cellphone or pager reception. The site went down and was dead for an hour.
Pre-image-cleanup Clay Jackson, the-one-and-only-QA-engineer, Erik Klein (more about him
on the next page, coder), James Hogan (coder), Scott Henley (Windows administrator),
Steve Chen (another coder), Tom, Ken Brownfield (of the Champaign-Urbana Brownfields, a
nobleman among system administrators) and yours truly, trying to look like a character
out of Miami Vice.
